HOW DID CAPE CLASSICS AFRICA BEGIN?

Cape Classics Africa began after Shirley who had been a travel agent selling international travel for many years, started to appreciate what an incredible offering South Africa has for tourists. The scenic beauty of the country, its incredible wilderness and wildlife areas, combined with the quality of accommodation, restaurants, and touring on offer makes it a destination that few places in the world can match.

Aside from the incredible value for money offering that South Africa is, there is a joy that comes from working for a higher cause. The wildlife in Africa is under huge threat. Tourism to South Africa and to the safari lodges creates jobs for local communities, therefore, alleviating the need for poaching. The game lodges all do incredible work in supporting and uplifting the local people to understand the value of conservation and the need for protection of our wildlife areas.

WHO IS CAPE CLASSICS INC?

Cape Classics Africa is affiliated to Cape Classics Inc. a wine import company based in New York with an office on Lourensford Estate in the Cape Winelands.  The affiliation stemmed from Cape Classics Africa originally specializing in wine touring before expanding their product to include safaris in southern and east Africa.

The Indaba Montessori Institute

Established by Cape Classics Inc, the Indaba Montessori Institute offers Association Montessori Internationale teacher training to students wishing to work with and educate children. They are the only training center in Southern Africa offering AMI-accredited training.

The Indaba Education Fund is a registered Section 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that invests in early childhood development within the winelands of South Africa.  It introduces skilled and resourced educators into these disadvantaged communities. This opportunity to be taught in this way greatly improve the children’s chances of successful adulthood hence enhancing family life, elevating societies, and building a better future for South Africa.
